What is Flexa?
Flexa Kids Furniture, Flexa is a system of furniture that was designed and developed in Denmark, Europe to accommodate children’s needs as they grow.
As children grow, they need safe surroundings that stimulate their imagination and their desire to explore the world and to play; surroundings that suit their age and personality. That is why Flexa has developed a system that takes into account children’s needs as they progress through childhood. With the Flexa system, your child’s room can follow his or her development.

All kinds of accessories and storage add-ons are available to help extend the bed and convert it into a setting that provides inspiration for play – a knight’s castle or a princess’ palace, for example – or a place to do homework or chat with friends. Flexa furniture follows your child’s growth, and provides a sturdy framework for your child’s development up to the teenage years.
Since 1972, Flexa has manufactured functional and flexible children's furniture made from high-quality solid wood, and non-toxic dyes and finishes. Our textiles are Oeko-Tex labeled, and our furniture is treated with durable UV lacquer.

Modular System
As children grow, they develop new interests and needs throughout childhood. The Flexa system makes it possible to extend your child’s bed constantly, adding caves and slides, extending the sleeping area and attaching a desk and chair, dresser and bookshelf units.
From a basic day bed with safety rails, by simply adding extension legs and a ladder, you can transform that same bed into a loft bed with a slide, or high loft bed with a desk and bookcase underneath. You also have the option to add a second bed, either as a bunk bed or trundle pull out bed, months or years later if you need it. Fundamentally, the Flexa system enables you to reconfigure your bed as your child’s age and family needs change over the years. The system also features textiles to suit your child’s individual personality and imagination.
This makes the Flexa bed much more than just a bed. It is actually the centerpiece of an excellent environment in your child’s room – from toddler to teenager.

1. Rounded Edges: There are no sharp edges or corners on Flexa beds, they are all carefully rounded.
2. UV Lacquer:We use environmentally friendly UV lacquer so you can feel completely reassured, even when your toddler bites the safety rail. Our lacquer is durable and free from formaldehyde and other hazardous substances. This lacquer is not only kind to the environment in your children’s rooms, but also to the environment at our production facilities.
3. Oeko-Tex Labeled: All of our textiles bare the Oeko-Tex mark, which is a guarantee that the products have a much higher requirement regarding the content of chemicals and harmful substances when compared to traditional fabrics. Flexa textiles are manufactured as allergy friendly as possible.
4. Ladders: Reliable and safe ladders that are fastened to your child’s bed. Every step on every ladder is grooved to prevent slipping and angled ladders come with safety handrails.
5. TUV Tested: All of our beds are certified according to strict European and international safety standards.

- Quality materials: Flexa insists on the highest quality and sustainability as a standard when we make our furniture. We only use the highest quality pine collected from the northern latitudes in Scandinavia, where trees grow more slowly on account of the cold. It is a drawn-out process, but one that generates wood with an excellent fiber structure and greater mass, thereby ensuring that only the very best material is used.

- Quality finish: Flexa furniture is treated with UV lacquer several times to give our furniture an optimal and elegant finish. At the same time, it makes our furniture robust and more resistant to signs of wear and tear. We use eco-friendly water-based and UV lacquer that is free from formaldehyde, which meets the European standard for lacquer.

- 5 year warranty and guarantee: We provide a 5 year warranty against manufacturing defects on our beds. All claims for Hawaii customers are handled locally at our Flexa shop on Kapiolani Blvd. When you purchase Flexa, you are buying a flexible system that can be altered and extended as needed. Therefore, we also provide a 5 year add-on guarantee, which ensures that you will be able to buy new modules for your bed for at least 5 years after you purchase the first unit.
Eco-Friendly
All Flexa furniture is made of wood drawn from nature. When trees are felled, it is important to show consideration for the woods themselves as well as the plants and animals that live there. Therefore, Flexa wood is certified by PEFC and meets strict international standards for sustainable forest management.
Moreover, we have optimized the use of wood in all our production and we recycle tree stumps, wood shavings and even sawdust at sawmills and factories. All the remaining products from the preparation process are used. In the production of Flexa furniture, the wood is dried, planed and rounded to become the finished high-quality material. Once this has been done, all the remaining wood, bark, shavings and sawdust are collected and compressed to make wood pellets. These are then used to generate heat and energy.
